The Killers put on one hell of a show on Saturday!
Saturday had all the ingredients for a brilliant outdoor gig- sun, heat, lack of mud and lack of queues! And the security were out in force even before you got to the gates of the Phoenix Park… Reminants of the tragedies of the Swedish House Mafia concert last year. There was a huge garda presence, more than any other concert I have been too. The security even took my biscuits and starbursts off me as we were searched going into the gig…. Im not sure what kind of trouble I could have caused with a packet of Tescos finest cookies…
Outdoor gigs are the best way to listen to music- sitting on the grass enjoying a few beers listening to great music – and Saturday really was one of those perfect settings and plus The Killers rocked!
They played some of their old stuff and new there was a great mix of both. Frank Ocean was a bit of a let down, wrongly given a set before The Killers and after Two Door Cinema Club, who were also fantastic. I missed The Haim, due to the long walk there!
Was raging I missed Mumford and Sons on Sunday especially with this ideal gig weather 😦
